How to merge PDF files online
Add your documents, arrange them in the correct order and create one combined PDF.
Add two or more PDFs
Select multiple PDF files at once, or add more files after your first selection.
Arrange the order
Drag files up or down. The top file contributes its pages first.
Merge and download
Create the combined PDF, then download and review the finished document.
What happens when PDFs are merged?
This tool creates a new PDF and copies pages from each selected source file into it in the order shown in your list. The pages are not intentionally converted into JPEG images.
File order becomes page order
Every page from the first PDF comes before every page from the second PDF, and so on.
Page content stays PDF
Pages are copied into a new PDF, so selectable text and vector content can remain.
Local browser processing
The selected PDF bytes are read in your browser and are not uploaded to a conversion server.
Some document features may change
Interactive forms, bookmarks, attachments and digital signatures may not carry into the new file.
Questions about merging PDF files
How do I merge multiple PDF files?
Choose at least two PDFs, arrange them in the desired order, click Merge PDFs and download the combined document.
Does this tool add a watermark?
No. This version merges locally using pdf-lib and adds no watermark. A PDF REST or other watermark already embedded in a source PDF remains in the merged file. Use the original unwatermarked PDFs to avoid carrying it into the result.
Can I change the order before merging?
Yes. Drag the PDF rows up or down, or use their arrow buttons. The list order is used for the final merged document.
Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?
The merging workflow runs in the browser and does not send selected PDF bytes to a conversion server. The PDF library itself loads from an external CDN.
Will the merged PDF keep selectable text?
Pages are copied as PDF pages rather than intentionally rasterized, so selectable text and vector content can remain.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
This version expects PDFs the browser-side library can open directly. Unlock an authorised copy first if needed.
What happens to digital signatures?
Merging creates a new PDF and changes document structure, so source signatures should not be treated as valid signatures on the merged output.
