Questions about PDF Page Number
Can I number only selected pages?
Yes. Enter “all” or a page list such as 1, 3-5, 8 in the Pages to number field.
Can I start with a number other than 1?
Yes. Set the Starting number field to the first number you want to appear on the first selected page.
Can I place numbers at the top or bottom?
Yes. Choose top or bottom positions and align the number left, center or right.
Are my files uploaded?
The PDF is processed in your browser. PDF libraries are loaded from external CDNs, while site advertising and analytics are separate services.
What are the file limits?
Upload one PDF at a time, up to 25 MB and 100 pages.
Will existing PDF content be changed?
The tool adds page-number text to a new PDF. Keep the original and review the downloaded copy.
Can I use a password-protected PDF?
Use an authorized unlocked copy. This tool does not request or bypass PDF passwords.
Does numbering preserve links and forms?
The page content is retained by pdf-lib, but complex interactive features can behave differently after rewriting. Review the result.
